The name of each of my wool flip flops reflects it's same sweet treat scent.  All my flip flops are made of a mix of wool and other yarns. Though I wear my own flip flops everywhere and all over that "everywhere", they are not intended to be warn in nor on obvious rough terrain such as mud, sand, snow or rain.  Walking on such terrains will most definitely shread your yarn, making them extreamly filthy and human error may cause you to trip.  Thus, normal indoor building use, is suggested.  Though I wash mine all the time, hand washing and machine washing your shoes is not suggested, and rather spot cleaning is suggested instead.  Like a good sweater, washing damage the wool and remove the scent.  If you notice your yarn shreading or looking tattered from normal wear and tear, simply trim the ends with scissors as needed, then let your parent trim and seal your ribbon ends with heat, if needed.  There are a variety of different sealing ribbon instruction videos online, and of course you can always purchase another pair.
